Martha Slaymaker is a painter and printmaker who now lives in New Mexico. She studied at Ohio State University and The John Herron School of Art.
Her work is strongly influenced by her sensitivity to the natural environment and her emotional connection with nature as a whole. Other influences on her work derive from her interest in archaeology, anthropology, mysticism, and the symbolism of ancient civilizations.
Her work can be found in many public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe.
